Old Fashioned Way
The late actor John Houseman became famous in the 1980’s for his ‘Smith Barney’ Financial Group commercials wherein reference to Smith Barney he slowly drawls out at the end of the commercial,
“They make money the old fashioned way, they eeeaaarrrnnn it!”
That’s the way I feel about this blog. If I make a penny from this blog it’s not because of all the techniques I know to ‘market’ MEA.
Yours truly succinctly summed up the purpose of ‘My Ebay Adventure’ from the start in my first post.

The Shiny Surface
There it is, my blunder lay bare before the entire world to see. Here’s the awful story I must live with.
The story revolves around my plans for JavaJan’s future Shipping Department.
Saturday morning after coffee; I gobbled up a quick bowl of oatmeal put on my Chauffeur’s cap and gave my son Steven a smooth ride to Guitar lessons.
Steven’s dream is to become the next Jimmy Hendrix, who am I to argue?

Is That All There Is??
So now that I’ve got a stockpile of the best Bodum Coffee Presses this side of the Monongahela River the “My Ebay Adventure” stories dry up and it looks like I won’t be able to give anymore away.
Someone is going to win a free Bodum 32oz Coffee Press at the end of March. When March is over I’m going to start the “My Ebay Adventure Story” contest up again for April.
Let’s be clear, everyone’s story has the potential to win. The stories written untold times upon the teller’s heart before success turns their dream into reality resonate clearest with me.

This Man Can Fight

When pressed to defend General Ulysses S. Grant after Grant won a decisive battle for the Union Army but at huge cost of Union lives President Lincoln simply replied, “I can’t spare this man, “He fights!”
Lincoln went through numerous “better educated & more experienced” Generals during the American Civil War. One was General Brinton McClellan. McClellan was a superb organizer and trainer of soldiers. His weakness lay in the fact he was more interested in strategizing and preparing for an upcoming battle than engaging in it.
McClellan couldn’t stomach casualties; McClellan hated the unpleasantries of battle.

What’s in Your Wake?
A performance review each day, could you take it? Well that’s what each day brings whether we like it or not. Results matter and they don’t lie. I have a new saying that I repeat throughout each day, “It is what it is”.
It’s impossible to draw a circle around certain aspects of our life and think they won’t affect our entire being and more importantly affect those around us. They will and they do.

Well gauaullleeee Andy…..I’ll bet you didn’t think you’d make the newspaper? That’s right Gomer I didn’t, now go get your fishing pole and let’s catch some fish.
Wandy Zang a writer for Knight Rider/Tribune Special Sections did a write-up of MEA that will be running in newspapers across the country. Look for it in your “Lifesytles”, or whatever other section newspapers run this kind of article in, over the next few weeks.
Here’s the piece written in the Belleville News
