Springtime in MEA Backyard

The nice thing about writing for a blog is it forces you to be honest with yourself. If you’re not there’s not much to write about and what you do write is copycat stuff already on the Net. Not for me thank you.

Springtime finds Janet and I on our hands and knees preparing our beautiful yards for summers full bloom. Our yards are large with huge swaths of grass in both the front and back bordered on most sides by perennial and annual gardens. Our Dogwood and Crabapple trees burst onto this year’s scene in full splendor a few days ago and our tulips in the front oval garden under the flowering crabapple look redder than usual this year.

Progress Update

My full time job is requiring me to travel most of this week and next week.

Since I’ve simplified my ebay auctions and went to a “Buy It Now” fixed price listing I’m seeing a steadier stream of buyers. This is very encouraging and is worth studying the reason “why”. Is it because I’m viewed as a reputable seller since I have a fixed price “Buy It Now” next to each item? Maybe having an ebay storefront adds a bunch of credibility, who knows, I’m just asking questions.

Wanna Chat Night

Until further notice I will moderate an ebay Adventure Chat Session in “MEA’s” Chat Room located at the top right corner of this site.

Time: Every Monday Night: 8:00PM - 9:00PM Eastern Standard Time (USA)

This weeks topics:

This chat software’s got some bells & whistles (literally). Let’s open her up, take her for a test ride and see what she’s got. Upcoming weeks will evolve into structured chat sessions with an agenda and a focus on taking “next steps” on ebay.

A Conversation with Quo

It’s 5:30AM and I just got up to go the bathroom and walked smack dab into a wall. I think I broke my big toe. You see the ‘Wifey Poo’ decided our Master Bedroom needs updating and we’ve been demoted to the guest bedroom this past week.

Whenever I need some unnecessary thing like say, my cloths, I’ve been reduced to becoming an amateur acrobat. All the furniture in the Master Bedroom is squished at every conceivable angle into the center of the room so the ‘Wifey Poo’ can peal off old wallpaper and paint. I end up having to bend this old body of mine all kinds of ways just to get a tee shirt and a sock. Electric cords and TV cables make their way from exterior walls to this center mass of furniture like snakes waiting to strike at any moment.

Progress Update

I purchased my second batch of Bodum Coffee Items. My inventory now includes the following:

The “Wifey Poo” came home all a dither with some unrelated items to sell on ebay. Seems a “Sam Goody” is going out of business in our local mall. Janet bought lots of CD’s for .49 cents and 8 (Godfather 2) DVD’s for $4.00 each.

Coffee Strength Supremacy

I like things strong and that includes my coffee. When I climbed Mount Terapeak and compared the results of various ebay sell through rates and ‘market pond’ sizes in which I would be swimming, the coffee market was a winner.

What clinched it for me was I LOVE coffee! Did I mention that I LOVE coffee!

When I start my long treks to “My Sales Rep Gig” the thought of my first morning ‘Fourbucks’ or whatever ‘bucks’ cup of hot steaming ‘Joe’ stimulates me to jump out of bed, rush through my dull morning routine and get the heck over to the real reason God created morning, to enjoy a strong cup of ‘bitter buzz’.

My Best Man John

It’s been 4 months yesterday since my eBay adventure began. Significant progress has been made and I’m pleased with the results. I’ve tackled many new ‘learning curves’ and re-familiarized myself with others. All this is wonderful but by far my greatest achievement over the past four months is in the area of “belief”.
