The Power of a Dream

Dreams
In corners of our mind where infinite courage remains, virtual treasure more precious than gold patiently waits for manifestation in the physical world. Nurtured with compassion in the womb of our soul our treasure’s appearance is fully formed and ready for life.

Will we endure the pain necessary and give birth to our treasure? Or will we abort our treasure like so many before it? We are the creator, the master of the greatest power on earth, the power of a dream.

Boundaries or Walls of Angels

How many areas of our lives need boundaries? I would argue they all do. Whether its work related or personal unless we set limits, clear definable edges to become familiar with, we waste energy. Energy is a precious commodity. How we spend our energy within the 24 hour span of time we’re allotted each day determines success or failure.

During the month of June 2006 while I relax and enjoy my plunge off the cliff of financial security, I’ll set new personal, family and work related boundaries. Fences I can look over the top of and get excited by the future possibilities they border. Margins destined for expansion.

My first order of business Relax

Relax

So now it all begins. Where do I start? How many goals should I set for June? What do I really expect to achieve in my first 3 month’s, 6 months, 1-year and 3 years? What affects will my family experience in the short and long term? How do I best lead my family through what will surely be uncharted waters?

I could go on with questions but I’ve made myself clear. There are a thousand and one different questions floating around in my brain today waiting for answers and you know what? Those questions are going to just keep on floating and waiting because I’m not going to rush around like a madman trying to come up with perfect answers to all the what, where, why’s and when’s I just gave birth to.

Wonder of Wonders

Yip Yip Yahoo!!! I got my $50.00 buckeroos back from a sour ebay purchase. See “Shipping away my ebay profits” for details.

Can you believe it? For the heck of it I emailed PayPal’s Resolution Center about the 2 purchases I made from the now defunct ebay shipper ‘Parrothead88′. I explained my case and sent off the emails not expecting a dime back. PayPal responded today that they have decided in my favor. It took maybe all of a week for PayPal to come to this positive verdict.

No guts no glory

Here we go
It’s been along time coming but it’s finally here. May 31st will be the last day at my current place of full time employment.

The last two months were difficult. Lincoln was right, “A house divided against itself cannot stand”.

I’m an all or nothing kinda guy. Being a full time Sales Rep for a Medical Device Company demands everything you’ve got to hit your yearly budget or at least it should!

My conscience demands clarity and gives me no peace when I’m ‘between’ decisions. Purgatory is hell. To be trapped between where you want to be and where you are is to be in perpetual motion going nowhere.

I want that shot

This past weekend I followed Professional Golfers playing on the Hooters Tour at a local golf course. I was struck by the differences in demeanor between golfers. The Hooters Tour is the third tier down from the PGA Tour so these are ‘wanna be’ PGA Players.

Some players became negative after a shot did not turn out the exact way they envisioned others seemed more willing to take a bad shot in stride.

I asked myself why. Why do some people become negative toward themselves if they do not execute the shot they envision? My conclusion is they want to perform the shot easily. They want it to happen so it should.

Big Mo

What’s the most important ingredient when you’re starting something new? I’d argue right up there close to the top of the list is momentum. We’re all perfectionists by nature. Our timid human nature demands perfection otherwise we think we’ll get hurt.

So what do you do to get ‘big mo’ up and rolling? You lose money that’s what. You take lots of risks. And you err on the side of pleasing your customer. Big Mo demands speed and imperfections. But ‘big mo’ gives back generously once he gets rolling. I’m much more interested in ‘big mo’ now than perfection. Once you lose ‘big mo’ you lose the fire in your belly. You become lost in the fog of negative thinking.
