Stroked Purr-fectly

On August 2nd I traveled from my home in South Bend Indiana down south to Noblesville Indiana just outside Indianapolis, about 250 miles round trip, to meet with a Manufacturer’s Representative of several gift companies.

This visit came on the heels of my Radio Shack liquidation purchase and I wasn’t in the mood to make the trip, as it seemed unnecessary when viewed against the backdrop of my immediate “business position”.

But I gave my word, so I grabbed a handful of my favorite music and set sail for my first business appointment with “horror of horrors” a Sales Rep. (Those new to ‘MEA’, that was my occupation before my eBay adventure)

Yielding Fruit From Seeds Planted

In my July 10th post entitled “Out On The Town” I described my first expedition into my local community to “kabitz” with Store Managers. My intention was to make friends and let them know what it is I’m starting and that if I can ever help them reduce their store’s inventory to give me a call.

What is amazing to me and should be of interest to any one following my ebay adventure, is that I spent a total of three ( 3 ) hours “kabitzing” back on July 10th and have not invested another minute doing what I know to be a profitable use of my time in product acquisition due to my efforts in “The Purchase”.

Peak Into My New World

So sue me I lied when I said I wouldn’t show you any pictures. Mine is an ever evolving mind. I live by and make the rules as I go and will apologize to no one.

I finshed renovating my downstairs a few weeks ago to accommodate “The Purchase” and took a semi-vacation last week as my family came in from out of town to visit for the week.

I’ll talk more, “I think”, in the future about my plans to squeeze every drop of profit and leverage “The Purchase” in other ways but I thought I’d record this in ‘MEA’ for posterity’s sake to look back upon in the future.

Posting Comments Method Updated

In an effort to allow comments to be immediately accepted I’m asking those wanting to post comments to register to “My Ebay Adventure”.

Please be assured I’m not, “Making a list and checking it twice in order to find out who’s naughty and nice”.

It’s just that I get way too many ‘bots’ dumping spam for “erection disfunction” (Viagra/Cialis). If that many men need that stuff it must be hell out there for you women. Anyway, it forced me to stop allowing comments to be automatically posted to my blog entries.

Look Up There

That's me up there sometimes
Jack, a 15-pound orange-and-white cat, sits under a treed black bear Sunday in a backyard in West Milford, N.J. When the bear climbed down, the cat chased it up another tree. Neighbor Suzanne Gio…… thought Jack was simply looking up at the bear, but soon realized the much larger animal was afraid of the hissing cat. The cat’s owner called it away and the bear ran off.
That big black bear up in the tree is exactly the way I’ve been feeling about my blog for the past month or so.

There Is No Failure

As I move forward in my ebay adventure new strategies come into view.

From the beginning I’ve viewed my eBay adventure as a long shot. The “Wifey Poo” is an eternal optimist and I envy her natural refusal to look to the dark side. She has enough confidence in me for the both of us. She’s already deciding on a timetable for putting money back into her 401K again.

I on the other hand was born a pessimist.

I’ve talked with enough “New Agers” to “get” the “wasted energy” argument when it comes to negative thinking, however eternal optimists irritate me to no end.
