ALIVE

There’s only one way to describe the way I feel about my ebay adventure on Thursday nights during the holiday season.

It’s like I’ve created a monster with a mind of it’s own.

And I’m not quite sure how my monster’s going to turn out.

One things for sure; my monster’s dependant on my ebay customers for………

But sometimes all this ebay holiday business can get annoying.

Yea……right…

Not yet begun to fight

Last 30 days

I’m real proud of these last 30 days. My highest priced and best sell-through rate items from my Radio Shack purchase are long gone and it’s been up to me to find another new product to help support the reams of other Radio Shack products I’ll be selling throughout 2007.

I did my research, which was not difficult, called the Sales Rep who sells the product I was interested in and purchased a fair amount of product.

I took extra time creating what I believe are superior auction templates for this product than my competition currently runs and have sold over $900 in the past 20 days. That’s almost half my initial investment.

The boss in this home

It’s 9:58AM. I’ve just finished taking a shower and my daily morning inspiration time. It’s by far my favorite three hours of the day. All “the cares of this world” and the “deceitfulness of riches” can wait until hell freezes over. This is my time and I’ll let neither of those temptations intrude on it.

The first six months of my ebay adventure have been nothing short of “glorious”. I finally did it. I took the leap into “I know not what” and am proud as a peacock of where I’ve positioned myself.

Home again Home again

Yeesh!@!,

“Over the river and through the woods to Grandmother’s house we go” takes on real meaning when you’ve got a little ebay business to run and “Grandmother’s House” still uses “dial-up” to connect to the Internet. I feel for anyone connected to the Internet with a 56K modem that only gets 28.8 KBPS due to poor phone line quality.

My small ebay business generates its share of unique customer questions and having to “futz-around” in the dark ages for 5 days is……………well…………………..lets just say as great as it is to visit Grandma………………….it’s feels good to be home again, home again…..jiggidy…..jig.

eBay Feedback Response

Received the response located in the block-quotes below from a customer last night. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside and helped to confirm a direction I decided to take, concerning eBay feedback, once I began to get serious about selling on eBay back in March.

All outside wisdom, advice or experience gets filtered through my own decision making process. In the final analysis “What would I do?” means a hell of a lot more to me than what someone else is currently doing. I may decide to leverage someone’s advice or experience but not before it’s sifted through who I am at this moment in my life.

If you think you’re growing by grazing in pastures fenced in for you by others you’re mistaken. Each sheep must be his own Shepard right from the start.

Once a customer has purchased an item from me and paid for it I immediately give that customer positive feedback and send them an email letting them know I’ve received their payment. Part of my “payment received” email looks like this.

Tis the Season To Take Risk

Boxes in car

Tis the season to be jolly, Ho…ho…ho..and all that crap.

Took a risk on another product line this week.

My Marketing Department, headed by a stuffed shirt who thinks he knows it all, showed me the results of his latest product acquisition investigation.

It seems Terapeak brought back some good numbers on this potential product line and the competition isn’t all that tough. I told him not to be so cocky, or he’ll be the one writing the new listings. He turned his head to cough, and swore at me underneath his breath.
