You win Bill

Well, this whole episode with “Ole Betsy” has shed some serious light on the fact I need to upgrade my ‘IT’ Department over here at MarJan’s MarketPlace.

While business is slower than I’d like it’s still coming in every day. Through 10 days this February I’ve sold $1,982 in gross sales. Nothing spectacular but it still keeps me busy.

Various size orders come in each day and I can’t be “messin-round” with computers all day long. That’s not gonna make me any money.

So this morning I broke-down and bought myself a used Dell Latitude Laptop off of ebay and a 160gig “My Book” Western Digital External Hard Drive from Circuit City.

Killed Ole Betsy

The fan on my computer’s CPU has been dying a slow and agonzing death over the last few weeks.

The pathetic sound of arrested whirring coming from inside my old “AMD Athlon” computer was just too much for me take anymore.

So I opened up “Ole Betsy” and ripped out her CPU fan. But Computer Heart Surgeon I definitely am not. I’m about as gentle as a Polar Bear on steroids.

So along with “Ole Betsy’s” CPU Fan came her CPU, or what would be the equivalent of our heart. Yep I ripped out “Ole Betsy’s” heart and she’s dead!!

Results that Upbraid Me

Yesterday was my worst “financial results” day on ebay in a long time.

Results speak loud to me.

I’m not on some long financial leash over here in South Bend Indiana. My leash on the freedom I enjoy is short. A financial day like yesterday speaks all to clearly and demands immediate action.

I fear sometimes the temptation to “get there” or “to impress” woos me away from the day’s hard work and lures me into “The Fog”. This is hubris of the worst kind, as my ebay adventure is not a game or an experiment, my ebay adventure is all too real.
