Proud to Call My Own
Every once in awhile we need to stand on top of “NOW” in order see “THEN”.Huh…….I’ll get back to this in a minute.
Business has picked up a bit over the past couple of weeks. Through the first 18 days of March I’ve had gross ebay sales of $4,290 on 151 sales of 223 total items. It’s certainly nothing like the Christmas season but sales have been encouragingly steady. I’ve not added any additional product lines like I initially thought I might by this time.
Going slow has advantages. It allows me to “SEE” different areas of my ebay business and gives me time to think of ways to extract the maximum amount of profit from them. Simply put, going slow increases my ability to produce quality work.
I didn’t carry the dream of owning my own business for 30 years to do anything less than my personal best. In fact I’ll take that statement one step further.
Break on Through
Each day this blog becomes more and more and act of faith. Clear skies give way to clouds. Past experience in different areas prove these times to be “testing grounds” for new and brighter horizons to come.
It’s how we are “recreated” anew. It’s how we “shed our skins” and break free from the chains of security that imprison our “present” selves. Only by walking with eyes wide open but not seeing, do we ever discover the limitless power hidden deep within our spirit.

Changing the World
Customer service is a marketable quantity. It may not be slick, but it’s sure. It’s too bad more companies don’t treat their customers like the kings and queens that they are.
Over the course of my short run on ebay I’ve had my share of these types of customer correspondences. I treat each one the way I would want to be treated. The irony is that this customer will probably be worth monetarily many times more than what I lost on this single transaction.
The customer purchased “single-wall” glasses when she thought she was purchasing “double-wall” glasses.
Customer - First correspondence:
The glasses arrived today and what a disappointment!!
A Tight Ship Changes Your Life
February was a slow month but I’m grateful for each sale. Total gross sales for the month of February was $5,440 on 231 sales averaging approximately $23.55 each. My sell through rate is still over 50% and I’m currently running about 50 live auctions and 190 store auctions. This is far fewer than most other eBay sellers I’ve tracked on Terapeak with gross sales similar to mine. I’m not sure if that’s good or bad, it’s just a metric I’m watching.
I’ve got the Tiger fist pump going with each sale now
BIGTIME! It sure is interesting living on the edge.
It’s not only interesting…………..IT’S LIFE CHANGING!!!
My office chair broke yesterday. The weld on the bottom of the chair gave way after three years of me leaning back on the chair more than I should.
My business is doing the same thing to me. It leans hard on me each day and is slowly breaking me of a lifetime’s worth of bad thinking habits. I feel a “tipping point” inching its way closer to me each day similar to the weld breaking on my chair.
This is good and I welcome it, the sooner the better!
