One Small Step For

“Oh what a tangled web we weave, When first we practice to achieve!”
Every once in awhile I’ll be sitting at my computer and one of these Serpents of Edison, likely a mouse or keyboard cord, will lash out from nowhere and shock me with their presence and entangle my unsuspectingly defenseless “yet extremely manly” legs.
Then it’s a monumental struggle between my unconscious urge to start kicking both legs to break free from this vile ever-present “Current-Creature” and the conscious patience needed to slowly retract my suspended limbs. One false move, one muscle cramp and these “Current-Creatures” will spit their prongs everywhere and then only God knows what nightmare will be unleashed.

The Hardest Sale
The last two weeks have seen sales slow down appreciably; who knows why. I’m determined not to panic. Total sales in March were $6,411 on 233 sales of 328 items. To date I’m around $20,000 in total gross sales on eBay for the first three months of the year, below where I need to be if I’m going to reach my goal of $100,000 for the year in total gross eBay sales.
I haven’t changed any of my pricing. My feeling is to stick with what got me this far. I notice others selling my product lines that weren’t there before. Their pricing is absurd and I believe they won’t be around long with that kind of pricing even if they’re just trying to gain market share.
I’ve taken to listening to Sydney Johnston’s Auction Genius Live Course audio lessons I have on my hard drive. I listen most days while performing some of my more tedious tasks.
As stated in my last post, this blog may be changing direction. I’m thinking of using “my eBay adventure” to make me a few bucks and learn some “search engine optimization” at the same time.
My mind is changing on many business fronts and it’s exciting. I still feel “in the womb” when it comes to grasping the true “Entrepreneurial Spirit” that lives and breaths inside Sydney Johnston, “but its a coming”. I can feel it.
