Adventures

Proud To Call My Own

Steven in MexicoNow this is a real adventure.

The church I attend does mission work all over the world. One of the yearly locations they do work in is Mexico.

A couple of month’s ago my son Steven tells me, out of the blue, he wants to go on this year’s mission trip. I’m “thinkin”; OK, yea sure…..that’s nice. You know, kinda not really believing he means it. Finally I can sense he does mean it. Steven tells me the trip is going to cost $1,300 and that he will earn whatever he can in order to go.

Letter from my daughter

Adventures abound all around us. One such adventure being explored is my daughters.

Honesty is a trademark I pride myself on. Being objective and brutally honest in a loving way toward “anyone” asking opinions of me is an obligation I feel called to do.

My daughter gave me permission to post this correspondence we had with each other yesterday in the hopes someone may be touched both by the relationship we have with each other and the struggle she is having in trying to discover the “next step” in her life’s adventure.

Is That All There Is??

So now that I’ve got a stockpile of the best Bodum Coffee Presses this side of the Monongahela River the “My Ebay Adventure” stories dry up and it looks like I won’t be able to give anymore away. :-)

Someone is going to win a free Bodum 32oz Coffee Press at the end of March. When March is over I’m going to start the “My Ebay Adventure Story” contest up again for April.

Let’s be clear, everyone’s story has the potential to win. The stories written untold times upon the teller’s heart before success turns their dream into reality resonate clearest with me.
