From The Heart

“Watch me Daddy!!!!!!, Watch Me!!!!!!

This online marketing stuff is tricky business for passionate people like me! I have turned the key, finally ignited my online marketing engine and am selling my eBay adventure, and myself in general, in a focused, overt but “Step Selling” method.

“Step Selling” is an intelligent method of marketing or selling I can endorse fully, as it feeds your own excitement to others in bits and pieces so they can swallow your excitement without gagging.

Imprinted on the Owner’s Heart

Woke up, got out a bed, and dragged a comb across my head. Found my way downstairs and had a smoke, and somebody spoke and I went into a dream. Ahhhhhhh…ahhh….ahhh

Pretty close to the truth this morning, except for the smoking part. Actually I grabbed my Bible at 6:00AM and went to a new Men’s Bible Study some guys from my church have every Tuesday morning at our local neighborhood supermarket located here in South Bend. I’m wondering if these bunch of great guys are ready for someone as “out there” as me. We’ll see.

Positive Word About eBay

MY TAKE:

I just finished reading an article posted over at MSN entitled “Should eBay’s Meg Whitman resign?” and want to say a few positive words in defense of eBay.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t get all the “bitchin” about eBay. To read some of the comments posted by readers of that article and this eBay article at the New York Times, you’d think eBay had paid a hit man to kill their dear old Aunt Matilda. Yumpin Yimminees….what drives an eBay seller’s frustration level to these heights?

Enjoy Your Effort & Happy New Year

Happy New YearSo much of success and winning simply boils down to staying in the ball game and not quitting. Results matter and they don’t lie. But believe it or not life is more than winning or losing and constantly comparing our performance against our fellow brothers and sisters eeking (sp) out a living the best they can right by our sides.

I was out bowling with the family the other day. It’s been years since I hurled the rock at those large stationary pins at the end of the bowling lane and it showed.

Owning Your Answer

One of my chief passions is asking questions. Whether the topic has immediate practical application like the simple question “how to post multiple pictures inside an eBay auction” or whether the question reaches into the spiritual realms of seemingly impractical metaphysics such as “what is the purpose of my life”, I am able to generate dozens of questions at the drop of a hat.

Now questions are an extremely sharp double edge sword. On one sharp edge of that sword, having a naturally inquisitive mind that seeks answers to questions can make you an effective explorer leading you to acquire a vast store house of both practical and seemingly impractical answers.

Reframing How I Think

It’s the Christmas season and tis the season to be jolly! My eBay sales this year have been fair when compared with last year at this time.

It’s been a rough couple of months. Like most things in life it seems we learn more when we force ourselves to dig deep inside when faced with challenges.

I’m learning the reality of being an online entrepreneur. In the wise words of Morpheus (from the movie the Matrix), “there is a big difference between knowing the path and following the path.”

Bye Bye Dan the UPS Man

Had a shocker yesterday. Dan my UPS man told me he was retiring and this was his last week on the job. Dan’s just 56 but is able to collect a pension through the Teamsters union he’s a part of. Good for Dan!! God bless him. You don’t realize how close you become to someone until they are saying goodbye for what is most likely forever.

When Dan told me he was retiring, “Cheap Mark” popped a thought into my head, “Hey man, that means you can get away without tipping Dan this year.” Dan seemed like he was in a hurry anyway.
