My Chain of Life
My Ebay Adventure is in its embryonic phase. I’m loading my back pack with the tools I’ll need on my journey, receiving instructions and advice from other successful past Ebay Adventurers and saying good bye to safe surroundings I’ve held dear all my life.
Make no mistake about it, this is a real adventure, there will be mountains to climb, valleys to ford and times of wild triumph and profound sadness. My Ebay Adventure comes with no guarantees. Most of the time I will be alone in the front hacking my way through unexplored territory, sending back reports of my findings to those who follow my progress and to previous Ebay Adventurers for guidance.
I have no interest in following the same path as previous frontiersman. What kind of adventure is that? What would I learn and what would I share when I arrive?
The time is quickly approaching when I must leave behind what I know for what I don’t know. There is no other way but to say good-bye. Try as mightily as I may to cover all the bases to ensure a smooth transfer from my previous life it is impossible.
You see, there are too many variables; too many things are outside my control in the lives of others who are destined to go with me on this adventure. My success in part lies in their success. For without their support I will fail. This chain I call my life is as strong as the totality of all the links I have forged up to this point.
When the strain inevitably pulls on the links of “my chain of life” will all my links hold true?
The day is at hand when I will find out, stay tuned.
