On Becoming a “Twit”
I’m entering a new……let’s not edit myself and my ideas so much phase.….So buckle up and hold on to the side rails of your computer chair cause it could get a little crazy round here.
Not judging or editing your ideas is what brainstorming experts making a gazillion bucks call it in the books they sell. I prefer the layman’s definition which is………throwing “a heap of crap” against the wall to see what sticks. You know…….what candidates running for President do every four years, when they try and find negative stuff to publicize about their opponents.
Enter Twitter dot com. If you click the “3y” tab in the graph at this link showing Twitter’s Internet growth, you’ll see Twitter has skyrocketed in the Internet rankings over the past year.
Why become a “Twit” at my advanced age and start “tweeting” away about inane little nothings happening throughout my day?
Traffic….traffic….traffic…. everybody knows it’s all about the traffic on the Internet right? Well, that would been everybody but me for the last year and a half. Gotta get with it though and direct some of those congested lanes of Internet traffic on over to my eBay adventure.
I’ve got this image in my head of standing out on the street corner, waving my arms up and down and screaming……”Hey….I’m over here, I’m over here!!!” and then this stream of human bodies turning around all at once in my direction with an expression of enlightenment on their faces and “clicking” their heels and mouses, on over to my eBay adventure. It could happen?????????? Really….it could!!!!!!!!!
I’m searching for key Internet Marketers to model after and Chris Pirillo, whom I introduced in my last post is one of the geniuses at this stuff. Every time I create a post here on my eBay adventure I can link it over at Twitter and let all my “followers”, that’s what Twitter calls them not me , know.

Creating a link over at Twitter also tells Google’s search spiders there are incoming links out there on a popular web site linking back to me. I’m in Kindergarten with all this SEO (search engine optimization) stuff but I’m fairly sure Google doesn’t give a hoot how the inbound link to my site got it’s way on Twitter, Google search bots simply see the link and enter it into the search engine algorithm formula they use to come up with their SERP’s (search engine ranking pages).
All that confusing SEO lingo means, I’m gonna try being a “Twit” for awhile (I heard that) and give “tweeting” a shot.
I’ve installed a Twitter Badge inside my eBay adventure’s right side bar. I’ll keep it at the top for awhile. It will show my latest “tweets” and the “tweets” of all the other “twits” I’m following. The more “twits” 
you follow the better, for driving traffic reasons that is.
What’s next………….My Space and Facebook…….You bet!!
