Results that Upbraid Me
Yesterday was my worst “financial results” day on ebay in a long time.
Results speak loud to me.
I’m not on some long financial leash over here in South Bend Indiana. My leash on the freedom I enjoy is short. A financial day like yesterday speaks all to clearly and demands immediate action.
I fear sometimes the temptation to “get there†or “to impress” woos me away from the day’s hard work and lures me into “The Fog”. This is hubris of the worst kind, as my ebay adventure is not a game or an experiment, my ebay adventure is all too real.
When I look back at the positive results I’ve achieved and begin to extrapolate future results, I get into trouble.
My “Ship of Discovery” is small and vulnerable to rogue waves. Staying vigilant to today’s financial reality is imperative if I’m to succeed in the days ahead.
Results matter, and it’s thrilling to live “on the edge” where each result speaks with enough quiet authority to command attention.
