Taking Pictures For eBay
Confusion and distress creating a dense fog of doubt seem to materialize most easily down in the sub atomic particles of the daily individual details of whatever it is we’re set on accomplishing.
There are so many talented, and I do mean talented eBayers on the Internet that know a zillion times more than I do it’s amazing.
So why should I share my two cents worth of eBay knowledge?
Ahhhhhh……would you believe………I’ve got nothing better to do this morning while I drink my first cup of strong french pressed coffee
Actually I’d like to focus on some of the day to day eBay details of what I do….the simple stuff. You know the eBay stuff that every one is too afraid to ask questions about for fear of looking stupid. And believe me my wife will tell ya I’m a trained expert on the delicate art of asking really stupid questions.
It’s been almost a year and a half since I constructed my home made light box using instructions provided on this terrific photography web site that shows how to take pictures on the cheap.
Since that time I have taken hundreds of thousands of pictures for my eBay auctions. Well……………..would you believe 36.6786 pictures and a nice family photo.
Yea, that’s my family inside my giant light box
.
I’ve got to break down soon and buy one of those professional light cube systems you can find on eBay for a decent price.
But all in all my homemade eBay light box system constructed for about $50 bucks works pretty well. Sometimes I have to mess around a bit, take a few pictures upload them to my computer, check um out, and then take some more pics but most of the time I can just tweak the brightness and contrast of the photo right inside my Corel Photopaint 9.0 image editing software.
My camera is still my son’s old Cannon PowerShot 3.0 and I’ve looked at the manual maybe a couple of times. I point, click and stay away from all the fancy camera doo……dads cleverly designed to send me into an oblivion of unintended learning curves.
I think I can remember scaling back the Cannon Powershot’s pixel resolution a bit so I don’t take a picture of a coffee pot that’s 400,000 terabytes in size but even things like that can be adjusted inside Corel Photopaint.
Speaking of terabytes, Quantum Physicists studying black holes and the secrets of the universe would have a difficult time locating one of my eBay photos locked inside the dark labyrinth of folders stored on my vast home network of super computers.
Boy, there’s a topic I’d like to talk about in detail……….keeping our computers organized.
Gotta run…….the boss gave me the day off, well not exactly the whole day, to let me buy Christmas presents for the “Wifey Poo”. I’ll get back to the subject of taking pictures for eBay later.
